Thai Prime Minister, Srettha Thavisin, highlighted the close bond between the nations during the signing ceremony where a Letter of Intent on tourism cooperation was agreed upon. The focus of this collaboration is to promote travel and tourism, with the Thai government introducing a Visa Free program for Chinese tourists. This alliance is expected to bring mutual benefits to both countries by increasing tourism revenue and creating sustainable growth in the sector.
Prominent Chinese partners, including Huawei, Ctrip, and Alipay, among others, have joined forces with Thailand to develop the tourism industry. The aim is to strengthen cultural exchange and deepen the bond between the people of China and Thailand. The event emphasized the cultural and historical similarities between the two countries, highlighting the saying “China-Thailand are not far apart, we are siblings.” This united effort aims to enhance tourism and foster stronger collaboration between the two nations.
