The Tourism Authority of Thailand and Jeollanam-do have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to bolster tourism and cultural exchange between the two regions. The agreement aims to promote Thailand’s famous Songkran Festival alongside Jeollanam-do’s Jeongnamjin Jangheung Water Festival on a global scale. The signing ceremony, held in Seoul, South Korea, saw significant figures such as TAT Governor Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool and Jeollanam-do Governor Mr. Kim Young-rok in attendance.
By collaborating to showcase both festivals, the MOU is expected to attract more visitors and enhance cross-cultural understanding between Thailand and Jeollanam-do.
