Thailand’s Tourism Office and U-Tapao Airport are excited to announce new flights from SCAT Airlines and AirAsia originating from Almaty and Kuala Lumpur, respectively. The focus is on attracting more international tourists, with special incentives being offered on landing fees to airlines.
TAT and U-Tapao Airport are working together to develop strategies to bring in more international flights from important markets such as India, Vietnam, China, Russia, and Kazakhstan. Airlines are being provided with incentives on both landing and parking fees to encourage them to operate to and from the airport. The TAT Deputy Governor for International Marketing highlighted the ‘Airline Focus’ strategy, mentioning a strategic partnership with Kazakhstan’s top tour operator KOMPAS and SCAT Airlines, resulting in a new charter service from Almaty.
The ultimate goal is to boost tourism in Thailand by increasing the number of international flights and attracting more visitors from key markets. By offering incentives to airlines and working closely with strategic partners, Thailand hopes to position itself as a top destination for travelers from around the world, enhancing the overall tourism industry in the country.
